The Flexipallet project focuses on developing an innovative flexible palletizing system designed to enhance automation in manufacturing plants. This system can identify the size and type of items to be handled, manipulate them using collaborative fixtures, and arrange them on pallets in customized patterns based on the pallet dimensions and user requirements. It is designed to be mobile, allowing it to operate in different locations within a plant, and it can integrate with autonomous mobile robots to further streamline production processes. Key components of the system include a vision system, a collaborative robot equipped with a clamp, algorithms for creating varied palletizing patterns, safety devices, wheels for mobility, a vertical axis for robot movement, and communication capabilities with mobile robots.

The system is mobile, allowing it to be positioned in different locations within the manufacturing plant. Additionally, it can be connected to mobile robots to enhance the level of automation in the facility.
The palletizer includes a vision system for object identification and a collaborative robot equipped with a collaborative clamp for handling different elements. Algorithms are implemented to create various palletizing mosaics based on requirements. Safety devices ensure secure operation, while wheels provide mobility. A vertical axis allows the collaborative robot to move vertically, and the system is designed to communicate with autonomous mobile robots to further optimize automation and flexibility.
